Best Fit Movers

My short 1.6-mile move turned into a 13+ hour ordeal--nearly double the quoted time. Several items were damaged, including a 65" TV, heirloom crockpot, and dining chairs. One mover was injured mid-job, and no backup was provided, causing further delays and inflated costs. Despite paying over $2,300 (including generous tips), I've received no resolution or follow-up after filing a formal claim. Communication has been non-existent. I would strongly caution others against using this company.

The saga has no end in sight, but I will not stop until I get justice. Let’s start (ironically) with the least of my worries, to start they ruined my dining room table, they left puddles of water in my 2 year old sons bedroom, and ruined the stair case in our old home. The workers stood around and on numerous occasions I had to ask them to please keep working.

The worst part is their workers arrived under the influence and smelling of marijuana. These people are driving semi trucks on the roads of San Diego. This places any one on the road at risk. When I alerted the company day of, they essentially didn’t care. When they left my new home they left my 2 year olds bedroom reeking of marijuana.

Their claims department has essentially ghosted me for weeks. I’ve called their number only to be told time and time again that they are only sales reps and that I can be forwarded “to a manager” — each time in forwarded it goes straight to voicemail. I’m convinced that there is no such person.

Finally, after letting them know that I contacted the BBB 2 times they offered me $200 in exchange for deleting all my negative reviews (you can view my other reviews on google and yelp).

This company is likely a hair away from being a scam & I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere for the safety of your items, and San Diego.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1200

This company is a complete shame and they flood their reviews with positive reviews so that you do not see that they are actually con artists and actually unaware of the law. 2 movers came to my home and took out my families furniture, once they took it to the knew home they attempted to do a bait and switch where they agreed to one price in a contract, a signed contract and once they got to my new home they stated the price was an additional $1400. When it was stated to them that we already signed a contract they drove off with our furniture. The police were called and we reported that this “moving company” stole our furniture and we will also be taking legal action as these idiots do not understand that a signed contract is a legal agreement so not only are they in breach of contract but not they’re also going to be held accountable for theft as well. Please do yourself a favor and do not work with this company.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $500

The movers were quick to package and load for the first 2 of the mandatory 3 hours but got lazy and started dragging their feet afterwards. We ended up unloading within 6 hours altogether but my new place was loaded like a storage facility, everything is stacked to the ceiling and I have absolutely no access to anything or idea of where any of it may be. My couch was disassemble and the parts that were removed are now buried under everything they unloaded and I'm not sure how to reassemble it.
